Fawning season

This summer has been really special with all the baby deer grazing & enjoying their life in the Keys. When we embark on the “Key Deer Safari” portion of our tours in the summertime,

we almost always see some fawns in addition to the does and bucks. There are so many little ones running around Big Pine Key and No Name Key, it’s nearly impossible to NOT see one! I call the ones with the spots “Bambi” – all of them are Bambi to me! Some are more curious than others and some are more friendly than others, but they are all just super-adorable.

We look for Key Deer on every tour with the intention of our passengers each getting an “award-winning” photo of these endangered species. They live only in the Lower Keys. upthekeys.com
